Found a video on College American football from the perspective of a non-American (Stephen Fry is a Briton). He pretty much summarizes what much of the non-Americans think of the US. But he forgot to mention that this same thing happens hundreds and hundreds of times across the country on any given Saturday in the Fall. And typically before the game, they have some sort of all day tail-gating / party that usually has been going on since early that morning. When I was first introduced to American football back in Penn State, I was like " What the fuck, lawan antara uni je kut, motif semangat bagai masuk ESPN, dapat sponsor Nike bagai, and season tix pun kena book awal-awal, siap boleh jual kat ebay dengan harga lebih mahal. Tak tahannn makkk!"
Yep, (some) Americans take their college football very seriously. It's like a religion. Some schools do rake in bucks with this kind of sport.(including my school, but with the latest news on the sex scandal, I think they are losing money. Kesian universiti aku. Tabah je lah nak!) Well I guess "It's all about the money, it's all about the dum dum duh dee dum dum". True story.
But like what Fry says, it's charming in its insanity. Yep, I'm gonna agree with that ;)
